Captured this awesome food truck just off Fir Street which I think is there every weekend until Labor Day holiday. Got myself a Thai Iced Tea (dairy condensed milk) which was super yummy, not overly sweet and at a great price! Perfect refreshing drink to go on a warm summers day. The staff were super friendly, extremely kind and service delivered in only a few minutes. Support local!

I had the Pad Thai when the truck was at Sunset Beach. It’s a fast food-style pad thai with a very sweet (but also tangy and flavourful) sauce, but that’s what I expected and wanted, and I thought it was pretty good. It wasn’t too oily and had the right balance between noodles, protein, and sprouts. They had a pretty impressive condiment stand that included pickled chilies, chopped peanuts, chopped cashews, sriracha, and chili flakes. Although they’re not a traditional topping for pad thai, I added the pickled chilies to mine and that was delicious. The pad thai costs $15 (regardless of what protein you get), which is pretty typical. Even though I got it without any added protein besides the tofu and egg, I didn’t feel shorted on quantity. I was pretty hungry and this satiated me. One star off mainly because they had a really limited menu when I was there - just the chicken pad thai and one other chicken curry. It was towards the end of the day at a big event so it’s possible they just ran out.

Always a nice surprise to see a new food truck roll into our front driveway at work. Love the colourful design and cool pop music playing outside take out window. I ordered a delicious spicy chicken dish (pad krakow?) with red peppers, spinach, small chilies, basil in a spicy garlic oyster sauce served with jasmine rice- this was spicy! Also got a small bowl of tom yum chicken soup that was so good it reminded me of being back in Thailand. The blend of sweet, spicy and sourness was perfect and it had so much chicken and mushrooms too. The two lovely and kind ladies who took my order were very pleasant. I’m already looking forward to their next visit!

So for a food truck I was happy. I do not recommend food trucks in general. They gave me good service, kept my food warm and had generous condiments which I appreciated. I lived in Thailand and it was good. Keep In mind I’m not comparing to a restaurant, I’m comparing to food truck standard and generally I don’t recommend food trucks. Mine looks ugly cause I put sooo much condiments because I love condiments.
