New Features & Updates

We have a few new updates and some that have been implemented already.  Below we will list some of the current and future updates that we are working on.

1.)  Blog for caterers only.  If you are reading this you already see the blog specifically for caterers.  Not much to say but we wanted a way to keep you up to date.

2.)  Mobile App – Currently you cannot download our mobile app as we are in the process of updating it.  Your current app should still be working and if you're a new caterer/food truck and are wanting to download the app to receive instant notifications… it will be back once they approve the update.  Android App users may need to download the app again once the update has been approved as there were some technical issues that required us to resubmit a fresh version for some reason.

3.)  Direct Contact – We have implemented MOST of this feature and are still working on the bugs.  If you get a notification of a direct request you can login and view it by going to your My Account page, caterer credits are required to view contact information, same as group requests.  This feature allows requesters (customers) to directly send a request to specific caterers.  We tested this feature a year ago and had some good results.  PLEASE make sure to update your Public Profile to ensure all details are current including pictures. You can update your Public Profile by going to your My Account page.

4.)  Private Messages – This feature has just been added to all catering requests, either group requests or direct requests.  You can now use our messenger system to send a private message to the requester.  (on the full view of the catering request)  In the future we may have live chat, and video and audio calls.  This is a huge benefit as you can easily keep a record of the conversation, avoid the spam box and to get an instant connection to the requester.  Both you and the requester will receive an email of your message as well as an app notification.  This makes your communication with the requester faster and gives you a better chance of booking the job.  This service is available to all caterers.

We have done a lot of fixes in the background that as usual take up most of our time.  We have a lot of other things on the go to start getting more catering requests  submitted for all regions we serve.  If you run into any be sure to contact us via the message system or using our contact form.
